BeaveRun

Does N.A.S.A. ever race at BeaveRun north of Pittsburgh? Or Nelson Ledges?

Thanks,

We used to have nasa races at Beaver, not sure why they dont anymore. That region is run by Dave Royce, you might want to check with him. if you go to nasaproracing.com you should be able to find his info…

Thanks… I’m about an hour away from there. I’m not driving… yet, but wanted someplace closer to me than Mid-Ohio(which is a great place BTW) to go watch NASA racing.

Beaverrun was effectively replaced by Grattan, I think the main reason we don’t run Beaverrun is the length of the track is too short to support large run groups. This old thread might provide some insight.

Thanks Simon. That explains somethings, but what about Nelson Ledges?

Not sure, I like the track and it is cheap but it has a bad reputation for being bumpy, bad facilities and also somewhat dangerous. Basically Dave Royce is in charge of creating the schedule and he trys to do the best job he can based on racer input. So if you want Nelson you will have to let him know. Personally I would like to see 1 less Mid Ohio and have it replaced with something like Nelson. Here is the thread when this years schedule came out, I think Nelson was mentioned.

Ah… Its not what I want. I’m not a driver or an owner. I was just curious. I does break my heart about the condition of Nelson. But as someone in that thread mentioned, "They can’t improve if they don’t have the business. I live 20 minutes from Nelson. And 1.5 hours from BeaveRun. I would like to start going to races where I’m starting to meet people when I’m not helping Gareth. Right now, Mid Ohio is the closest at 2.5 hours away.

I thought of a picture of Edgar the E12 pickup, but I’d have to reduce one down first.
