Back home & in 1 piece

Just got my car back from Bassen. He did a great job even if he’s not too happy about me telling people he did the work. He’s used to doing a much higher level of finish, but I only wanted him to get the car square and running. No Paint. None of that fancy "make it perfect" stuff… this is a BeerTech car after all

The running part was easy. I was lucky and didn’t really have any damage to the motor or other parts under the hood… just the radiator.

The tough part was the body and FR wheel area. A new front end and some new sheet metal for the front. A little negotiating with the tail and she’s ready to roll. We almost. I still need to do a few things before she’s track ready.

See you guys at CMP.

No inner structure replacement? I’m impressed you could save that shell…looked like toast to me (and I appraise wrecks for a living). You found a good shop…keep him happy. B)

Your story sounds just like mine. I have a green hood, a black fender and a gold bumper right now. just trying to get the car back into race condition. Paint probably won’t come until after Roebl;ing in may.

Red and black is so awesome…that I painted my car red and black.

Unfortunately those handsome red and black cars tend to quickly get some green mixed in!:stuck_out_tongue:

That would be Virginia International Racing Green. My orange car had a nice VIR green accent stripe on it until this week.
