Considering switching to spec e30, any cars out there for sale not listed in classifieds?

Harper,
A good friend is selling a great project car for a steal. It still needs a cage, but comes with the main hoop already bent, and some of the bottom plates welded in. Would also need a spec exhaust, kill switch, and fire suppression, but most of the other essentials are all good, with very low track miles. It was a project that never took off due to competing interests. Car even has working AC still I think.

You can buy mine for $10k, build the motor and run up front all day. This is a new car, tech’d and logbooked with a great cage. 5 races, not once out of the top 4 (1 win, 2 seconds, 1 third and one 4’th in the great lakes. Super clean car, awesome paint. Ready to race right now, though I would suggest a head refresh. Car is so straight it needed no tweaking to get the alignment correct. Cornerweights are fantastic. Only drawback is the motor. If I could find someone to do a decent motor for me, I’d do it and easily finish in the top 5 at nationals with this car. 183k miles on chassis, motor and tranny. Tach doesn’t work, but odo/trip does. I could fix that before delivery.

Oh and it needs a new tow hook. Got ripped off at the last event. I can replace that too.

2 sets of wheels. Once D-force from years ago so no cracking issues, and one TR set. 2 sets of RA1’s and one set of BFG G-force.

You could eat off the engine compartment and I never repainted it, just cleaned.

The TFB car belongs to Tim Barber. This is the car that should have won the nationals last year & the only vert grandfathered into the series & legal. Contact Tim at 415-205-2222 for more information.

Thanks Andrew, for others who replied, thanks for the help, ended up buying Robert Allen’s spec e30, should have it out at NASA mid Atlantic summit point event in August
