318is non-sunroof project- Socal $600

#1

Hi everyone…

I purchased a 91 318is in LA while I was there last week (put down a deposit for a friend)… Anyhow, my friend ended up deciding that it may not work for him, since it is going to cost too much to get it shipped up here to Portland…

Soooooooooo

Here is the scoop.

Clear, MIA title. (carfax certified)
Black exterior, black interior
No sunroof
Bad motor (240k), skipped tooth on timing chain.
Located in west LA
Missing front plastic bumper and grills

For $1000, You will be getting the car AND I will be shipping you a good cylinder head, so that you have the parts to get the car back on the road.

The body is straight, I believe the paint is factory. There is some overspray on the hood, from some different project.

If you want the car without my cylinder head… $600

Someone please help me out here, I dont want to lose my deposit
feel free to call
503-319-3499

thx
Joe

In case anyone is interested, here is an old thread from BF.com about this seller. I do not have any experience with him so I cannot vouch one way or the other. Use your own judgement.

Wow, the beauty of the internet.

Anyone can say anything. Aren’t forums fun?

Out of the THOUSANDS of transactions I have done online, there are <15 people that feel slighted, and of those, only ONE person did I actually drop the ball on, which is still in the process of being corrected.

Here is the response I made to the slanderous thread.

By the way, what is there to watch out for on a $600 non flood, clear title, NON sunroof, black on black 318is, with zero rust.

As upset as I am that this misleading post resurfaced, I can understand your concern.

Please take the time to learn as much as you can regarding the whole story. I would have much rather you asked me (publicly or privately) about it, instead of throwing out misleading information. Jumping to conclusions is NEVER a win-win situation.

Additionally, I was very excited to join the spece30 group, since I would like to build a race car in the next year or two, and this group came across highly recommended.

Would a drive train and Spec E30 suspension be all that’s required to convert this to a candidate race car?
