2014 SE30 National ruleset

From Will Faules

So there you have it.

#2

Well look at that. Gold star for getting info from higher.

#3

I vote no on track fuel. I run 87.

#4

You’re weird.

#5

That means they woul have to open the pumps and actually stock the tanks. Never seen that happen. The chevron guy loves us.

#6

So my wife tells me. I run 87 also. I don’t see the need for higher octane fuel; these cars weren’t built to require it. My tow vehicle on the other hand…

Really? Those words came from Will Faules himself? Hmmmmm…

Yes, but this was for the north east nationals. Shoot him an email if you have any questions.

Uummmm Rob, did you read the quote you posted? Here is the part of the quote that I am talking about “…Any potential changes NASA is looking at are not slated for the 2014 season. SE30 at both the East and West Championships will run under the currently published 2014 rules.”

That contridicts what you just said. Can you clarify this?

Sorry bud. Yup. You’re right. Best to email him if you want another verification.

#11

No worries Rob, thanks for the confirmation.

#12

I personally don’t care which rule set we run under. We do need to figure it out ASAP as most of us will be setting up our cars beforehand. We need to know if we need to add weight or not. Rumors i herd last weekend at Sonoma indicate we will be running the nor-cal supplemented rule. Does anyone have a date we will know by?

#13

Hey guys, is there fuel pumps at Sonoma? Required or not, are they always open and stocked?

#14

There are. Credit card only - they’re not manned.

#15

30 days out & NO rule set? C’mon Nasa, lets not have another repeat of last year at Miller. Please give spec e30 the courtesy of time to properly prepare. It shouldn’t be that difficult.

Thank you

#16

I’ve got no dog in this fight, but it seems pretty clear to me. Supplemental rules for Nats are on the website, SE30 rules were published a year ago, and there’s an email quoted above saying the rules apply to Nats. I could very well be missing something.

#17

So we are going to have a cap of 160.9 whp. And min weight is 2,700#. As simple as that ha?

#18

Well, it’s been decided and the rule is basically what NorCal wanted and has been running all year. 161.9 cap by average of 3 pulls and 2,700 lbs.

It appears that this is the rule moving forward, too.

Unfortunately, whomever added appendix D didn’t not all the changes in yellow and line out what has changed.

#19

So, I see the 2015 SE30 rules are published and are as you described. Is there separate guidance somewhere that says the new rules will apply for a West Nationals?
Thanks,
Cliff

2015 SpecE30 Rules are published where?
