I don’t mean to be “that guy” but does anyone have front runner/mid-pack in-car of sundays race?

I have some mid-pack in car but not sure how to edit it down and upload it. I guess I will look into it and see if I can post.

[quote]Sean, I’ve been there, you’ve been there and others will have a lapse or an interruption to cause a mistake.Respect is earned in admitting one’s error.

I can’t count the numbers of times that I’ve been to grid and wondered about wheel torque. I guess the pro’s have multiple checklist for this stuff…and still stuff happens.

Thanks Robert, it still feels horrible though.

I had the same problem towards the end of the race, classic SpecE30 fuel starvation problem. I have replaced the fuel pump(s) and am considering changing tanks, it starts to happen when the Panther’s gas gauge drops below 3/4… :frowning:

I had a blast, my goal was to beat Scott Lear of GRM - but alas his fuel starvation problem wasn’t as bad as mine! I was unable to catch Scott, but I did manage to finish ahead of Cobetto (my gas cap was screwed on tight :stuck_out_tongue: )

My car was dynoed and the new cheater motor produced 148hp, I am hoping that as it breaks in it’ll gain some power, at least to be equal with the rest. It was obvious on the straights and at the start when everyone else pulled away from me and we all stepped on the gas about the same time!

I can’t wait to go to Miller next year, I am looking forward to the new track and seeing what I can do…

What were the other dyno numbers?

If a cheater motor is 148 I’m probably 129 and running around 2900lbs. Can’t wait for the fresh 145ish motor I’m working on.

My car was dyno’d and it was 154/154, I’m sure Carter will share the dyno sheets at some point.

Good on ya, Simon!!!

Congrats to all of you guys.

First off, congrats to Skeen, Simon and Carter and I have to say, even with all my problems it was still fun being out there.

After chasing (and subsequently replacing A LOT of stuff) a stumbling/cutting out issue most of Friday and Saturday, I made Saturday’s race by a few minutes and had an awesome time just getting back on the track and starting from the back. Was one of those races that you’re just smiling the entire time. Thought all the problems were solved, only to have them return on the pace lap for Sunday’s race. Half way through, the car over heated and I pulled it in and called it a day, frustrating to say the least.

I can’t thank the Davidson’s and Shane enough, without their help I probably wouldn’t have gotten back on track at all once the problems started. Also have to thank everyone else that loaned a part to try out or gave some advice on some obscure thing that might be causing the problem. Spec-E30 really is the best.

sunday’s video

After the incident the car was a handful to say the least.

Everyone after the race kept asking me why I moved to the middle at the start of the race. Your video shows why. That stuff is slick!

Nice driving Mike!

does anyone have video from friday?

#117

Here is my video from Saturday. Shows me chasing Mike D and keeping Lucas behind me. All until the Miata who later told Shannon he was just out lapping, pinched me in T-1. This is why I ended up qualifying 16 for the big race.

Thanks Michael. Yea I remember when that legends hit you last year. Driving a car with the rear toe out isn’t very much fun :frowning:

That Miata didn’t leave you much room did he! Nice driving! You were all over me in the early laps.
