Its going to be a few months before I can convert my car to a Spec E30 and I need to pass emissions if I want to be able to drive it on the street for the next few months so if anyone has a used but decent condition stock rear muffler for an 87 they can part with please contact me.
I’m in No.Virginia and can pick up within an hour or so travelling time of DC.

The rear muffler really won’t help you pass emissions unless your inspection invovles a dB sound test. You just need to make sure you have properly working O2 sensors and good catalytic converters which are in the mid pipe of the exhaust.
That might be so but the technician/inspector rejected the car because of the condition of the rear muffler without testing for emissions…it’s in pretty bad shape.
Yeah I forgot about that aspect. I know an inspector would have issues clipping his sniffer into the tailpipes on my muffler. Good luck finding one. You could always just find a dual input muffler in a junkyard that is a similar size and have a shop weld it in on the cheap if no one comes up with one for you.
