Does anyone want to go to the race on that Friday and watch our Bimmerworld heros?
I’m looking for an excuse not to go to work.

How about koni at VIR in two weekends? Anyone else going? Word on the street is one of our brethren may be racing on saturday…
I’m in for the Petit LeMans Fri. and Sat. (Fri=Fun) As always we will be in turn 5 on spectator hill. If you weren’t there last year you missed one hell of a race in the touring class in the rain. Turn 5 is where the action is, and there is a huge mega tron? just across the track. Some of you might not recognize the s’s with the new motorcycle chicane they added on the inside!!(I was there Sat.)
Last yeat the Petit LeMans race ended with Audi beating Porsche by seconds after 10 hrs.
Would love to meet/talk(pic brains) with some of you guys when your not in the middle of a race weekend.
Greg Moberg
Cool.
Greg, we’ll help you out with all kinds of DOTM bad attitude.
We’ll pull the thread back to the top as the W/C race date draws closer.
Regards, Robert
I’m about 75% in right now (depending on schedule).
Does anyone know if we can bring coolers (with adult beverages)? I’ve been before, but don’t remember the rules.
Schedule shows [UPDATED 10/2] 10:20 am to 11:20 am for World Challenge. Might have to take an “early lunch” that day…:cheer:

I will be up in the VIR area for the Koni Challenge, not sure if I will actually go…I was thinking that MLT could do the Time Attack, ends up it is on the Patriot course and after paying the entry fee you still have to buy a $40 pass and you get no crew passes at all…hmm forget that crap. I will check out the arm bands at Aunt Millies friday night and make my own…sorry but as a local I dont like to pay to get in, especially as I will spend most of my time in the VIR clubhouse drinking.

I am still a “maybe” for Friday. If I go, I will show up just before the start and leave just after. In this economy, I’d sure like to keep my job!
I’d like to meet up at Turn 10 if that works for everyone. I like to sit right by the bridge and run back and forth across the road watching cars bump and bang in 10a & 10b then stream through 12 and down the front straight.
Since Al won’t be there, I can’t just look for the chickens. How else will I know you guys are you guys?

Robert… I’m definitely going and would probably shoot for watching the Touring Car Race from the turn 10 grandstand area. I’ll have my cell with me (678-640-9535) and will probably catch up with you guys there.
I’ll be there tomorrow as well. I guess I’ll just meet up with you guys in the turn 10 area.
Here’s the schedule:
Friday, October 3, 2008
8:00 am - 8:15 am Warm Up - Cooper Tires Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda
8:25 am - 8:55 am Practice - Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup
9:05 am - 10:05 am Practice - American Le Mans Series (All Classes)
10:20 am - 11:20 am SPEED World Challenge Tour Car Race - 50 Minute Window
I’m planning to be there first thing in the morning. My cell is (310) 749-4660.
I saw a speed petit preview show advertised for today. The preview shows are usually pretty good to get you up to speed as a fan. Set your tivos!
Sounds like 10 is the place to be (running back and forth to see 'em go thru 12). See ya’ll there tomorrow.
Regards, Robert Patton
Craig and I will be running around a bit so we might not be over at 10.
If we miss you stop by the trailer and see Jame’s sweet new M3, etc.
