Wiring Harness Question

I am installing the throttle body to the intake manifold and connecting the wiring harness to the TPS and the ICV (both 3 pin), no problem.

On that same branch of the wiring harness there is another connector that has only 2 wires and I have no idea where that is supposed to plug into.

Anyone know what that 2 pin connector is for?

Thanks. (I searched all over but couldn’t find an answer.)

That goes to the gas vapor purge valve. It hangs below the tbody on a ~4" conical shaped rubber hose. Connecting to the other end of the valve is hose to the gas vapor recovery tank, which is a cylinder of activated charcoal on the left fender.

A recent rule change allowed us to delete the vapor recovery tank so you can cut the wire and plug the hose under the tbody.

That same connector goes to the OP switch, so it’s worth keeping for the day when you want to use an OP switch for a coolant pressure switch.

Thanks Ranger!

I already deleted the charcoal canister and plugged the hose so that explains why I couldn’t find any where to plug it in.

Thanks again. This forum is a great information resource.
