Wires between the cage and body / sils

#1

Anyone see issues with running wires/battery cable between the roll cage and the body work? I want to use the channels on the left and right side where the factory harness runs.

I have seen cars that run the harness in the channels and then jump over the roll cage tubes. I have also seen cars that run wiring in the channels and do not jump over the cage tubes. I have read the SPECE30 rules and the NASA CCRs and there are no rules pertaining to this that i can find.

Please voice your opinions…

Cheers,

MM

There is no rule about it. The reason for putting them inside the cage is so they do not get pinch/cut/short in a side impact and don’t just assume that a impact big enough to do that is going to junk the chassis, it may not.
