Brother Jeff and I got lots done yesterday but we are still working out a few things, like the window net. The cage we bought is in and looks great, it has a small D sort of bracket at top of main hoop (above drivers left ear) and a tube type about 1 inch long at top of A-pilar tube - these are obviously from previous owners net. Question I have is: what kind of "quick release" is everyone using? Does a threaded rod in the top of the net with ends inserted into these brackets qualify for that? Or do I have to figure something more out? Also, what is favorable for attaching bottom of the net to door bars (which are angled up and back on our cage)?
Window net install question.

My guess is that the small D bracket is the male end of a generic Seat Belt buckle. The buckle would have been on one end and the rod would have gone through the other. I would not use Threaded rod but instead get solid rod. The bottom on an angled bar would most likly have straps up to a bar. A strap at the front and rear and another bar going through the bottom of the net. And some way for the straps not to slip off the bottom bar.
Hope this helps.
