Window fogging issue.....how to solve?

#1

Window fogged in the race yesterday so badly I couldn’t see more than a car length or two in front. My heater core is removed. The E30 convertible rear window heaters suck and don’t work. Does anyone have suggestions or what have you fabricated to solve this problem. No one say use “Fog-X” either. We all know that’s junk. I am looking for a real solution. HELP!!!

Cheap hotel shampoo. Worked at Road America on a rainy April weekend, it’ll work anywhere!

I think that what works depends a lot on the conditions. I’ve seen Rain-X, dish washing soap, and shampoo work. And then I’ve seen those not work when the conditions were worse. The only thing that has been proven to always work is a defroster.

I have a 12V hair dryer that I bought cheap off of ebay or HF or something. It’s been in with the track spares now for years. When the day comes that I need it I’m going to flex tie it to the driver’s A pillar and let it blow across the windshield.
