WILL NOT START

hi…my brother has a 1987 325 with 2.7L…we replaced the starter and the car will not run…the engine will turn over but will not fire…HLEP US:(

Can you give a little background? How about… Has the car run since you did the 2.7 transplant? … for starters…

Did you check the fuel pump relay, DME relay, coil? Are you getting spark? Fuel?

Make sure all connectors are still connected, especially the sensors in the bellhousing for crank position

the engine is the one that come in the car…yes the has ran…our cusin disconneted the mass air flow… he burnt the starter up trying to start the car at 6:00am one day…the wire harness was fried two owners ago…:slight_smile:

the relays he put the ones for for the factory back in and it ran fine
