Why my car is smashed up

#1

I figured I would post here, so to avoid telling the story 10 times at the track. The passenger side of my spec e30 is smashed in. I ran at a vintage race a couple of weeks ago, at the start of the Sunday race I was on the outside of turn 1. A bugeye either had a stuck throttle or lost his brakes, I could just see him out of the corner of my eye, he came on the track past the middle of the turn at a 90 degree angle, T boned the car beside me, sending him into my door jamb. kinda like what happened to Gasman at CMP, except not as dramatic. Luckily the rear subframe did not get hit…The RH door still opens and closes so I have not had it fixed yet…

I’m pretty sure you just guaranteed yourself that EVERY ONE of us will ask you about it at the track…I know I will. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey guys, let’s get organized about this. Let’s start a sign-up list for folks who want to ask Al about his door. I’ll get it started:

  1. Sasha
  2. Brian
  3. Sasha
  4. Chuck

Well, the way I got it figured the 50/50 rule won’t be enforced anymore than the ballast rule will be. It shouldn’t be a problem Al.
