WHO IS GOING TO NATIONALS??

#1

I know you guys have a very nice race group up there, and wanted to know who’s going.
I’m saving to go to the National Championship in September at Miller Park in Utah.
Anybody else planning on going?
Since it’s so close, broadcasted live over the web, and might be my final Spec E30 race before I move to another class with more cars in Socal.

We rented a garage space for the SpecE30 guys and I am trying to get the event for the SpecE30 more exposure too.

  1. Walter Ford
  2. Carl Chiu
  3. Scott Neville
  4. Will Faules

Wish I could go but I am getting married on Sunday September 13th…next year I am in!

Greg…I bet you didn’t know this but Tooele, Utah is a popular honeymoon destination. You can get great deals on the “double-wide” trailer park honeymoon package deals there

Best wishes on getting hitched!

Cheers,
Scott

I’m planning to go but just to watch and help - not drive.

I have been wanting to do the SCCA Solo II nationals for a few years, but just couldn’t justify it. Drive for 23 hours just to race for 3 minutes. Now Miller is 1/2 the distance and more than 10X the racing. How can I pass this up.

September is typically great weather in Utah!

#9

I have rented a garage (W17) next to Walter’s (W18), J & F Racing/Ferrario from Nor Cal will be in it.

#10

Guys get your entry in now, the price is about to go up a $100 August 1st!

#11

Currently there are only 9 entries for the Spec E30 Nationals.

8 if more guys don’t show up :(, I’m more than likely not coming. Sorry but I thought the North Cali guys would show up, I guess not.

That is disappointing. I was hoping that people were waiting to sign up until just before the entry price increase on 8/1.

I need to decide between SE30 and Spec Miata. If the field in SE30 doesn’t grow, my desire to represent the southeast at Utah will wane. I was hoping we would see 15-20 cars. Where are the California boys?

No don’t bail! There are several more guys I am talking to that say they are 90% there. [/quote]

Well I absolutely can’t go if there aren’t at least 10 not including me and I’m not counting on Steve, so you better rally the troops. Honestly I don’t have a lot of faith because of the cost of entry now.

I still can’t believe they moved nationals to miller. What a terrible idea .

The bright side is those from east of the mississippi can now come to VIR in october right?

I am confident we will get at least a couple more entries. If that’s enough to keep Simon, I’m in too. I wonder if we can talk Pantas into running SE30 in addition to AIX?

Steve - if you want to pay for my trip and entry I’ll go.

Let me know.

Let’s have our own little contest at Nationals. Whoever wins pays the other guy’s transport costs and entry fees.

Bring it.

You’d just wreck me from behind. I know how you work.
