Where get a Rookie Plate

#1

CCR says that rookies need some 48 sq. in. orange plate in the rear. Sounds about the size of a license plate. So what is the logical solution? Are folks just painting some old license plate orange, or is there someone selling plastic orange license plates?

Take the tag that is on it now, turn it over 1 can of hi-viz orange and voila - presto rookie plate.

Or go to Walmart and buy one of the $1.99 clear plastic license plate covers. They come with some type of cardboard description dealio turn that over, paint, and poof another solution.

I think the license plate is more durable of the two.

If you don’t want to paint you license plate and have some scrap sheet metal laying around just trace a template of your license plate onto the sheetmetal and paint.

The ‘trick’ setup is to paint the back side that way it is reversible like most fashionable clothes.

You can also have a vinyl shop cut a large R out of orange vinyl. Since you need to have the R on there anyway; two birds, one stone.

Lol. Car’s not street-legal. Painting the back of it’s "drive to the shop" tag was my thought exactly.
