Where did you put the electrical switch?

I’m curious where everyone puts their electrical cutoff? Passenger side, engine compartment at the firewall is the most convenient as that’s where the terminal is, but I’m also considering welding a bracket and putting it inside the car at the A piller, driver’s side, dash level so it can be reached from both inside and outside the car.

Any pics or tips are appreciated!

Thanks. So this pulls from the passenger front fender? How important is it to have it pull from inside the car? I don’t believe the rules mandate the electrical cutoff be operable by the driver from the cockpit.

Mine is located on the passenger side of the roll bar door post at the corner of the horizontal bar. The wiring channel under the door is perfect for routing the line back to the engine compartment. Nice and neat and can easily be reached from the drivers seat if need be.

Most of us SE guys have it mounted in front of the firewall on the passenger side. There is a nice slot under the plastic piece used for what would be the right hand drive windshield wiper. The switch fits underneath and the tab fits through the factory hole perfectly. It’s like it was meant to be. All you ahve to do is drill into the compartment behind the engine bay in front of the firewall for the wiring.

it is a hole in the chassis for the british RHD cars wipers - so the hole is not used over here.

Thanks. I peeked under the cover and saw the hole. That’s where it will do then. Did you cut both the ECU and battery power there at that terminal or did you run a line to/from the starter? I assume that if I cut both the ECU line and the main battery line that it will get the job done.
