Great!
If we can get 24 cars registered at VIR, we can get 30 for the National Championship.
I think Ed and Mike Davidson are planning to sign up.
That’s about 15…

In Saturday’s race Han and I had a great battle going on for much of the race. In the final lap I had a pretty good run on him coming out of hogpen. I drafted behind him until about 1000 feet from the start finish then moved right to pass. Han was very gracious in not attempting to block, which he could have. We were so close at the checker that I didn’t know who beat who but based on the official results from NASA Han edged me out by 2 hundreths of a second. Great photo finish!

15 would get us into the $2000 cash from toyo arena :), I think 30 would be a stretch but who knows, still should be a decent increase over last year.
30 or more in class
1st Place = $4,000 cash
2nd Place = $3,000 cash
3rd Place = $2,000 cash
4th Place = $1,000 cash
5th Place = $750 cash
6th Place = $500 cash
15-29 in class
1st Place = $2,000 cash
2nd Place = $1,500 cash
3rd Place = $1,000 cash
4th Place = $500 cash
5th Place = $350 cash
10-14 in class
1st Place = $1,000 cash
2nd Place = $750 cash
3rd Place = $500 cash
4th Place = $400 cash
5th Place = $300 cash
I had a blast all weekend. I don’t like the north course and that could have something to do with my bad luck there. Last year I had my rear brake lines burst going into turn 7 and this year the motor went zip bang coming out of hog pen All in all I was pleased with myself though. I went from 11th to 5th on Saturday and 10th to 3rd when my motor let go on Sunday. I will post videos later and I have to say that saturday’s race was one of the more thrilling races i’ve participated in this season.
Thread hi-jack alert:
Mike, what happened to the engine?
A "thrilling" race on Saturday? Stay out of trouble and there is no telling how many positions you can gain…What is the story?
Are you comming to Road Atlanta next weekend?
Regards, Robert Patton
We aren’t going to make it to RA. I’m not sure what happened to the motor but it sounds like a spun rod bearing. I just got back from the beach so I should have my videos up tonight or tomorrow.

We have both signed up for nationals and have purchased a parts car for the engine. The # 29 spun a rod bearing in sunday’s race and it looks to me like it will need oversized bearings $$$$. So we are going to put a junk motor in the car and take her to nationals.
So if my addition is right it looks like we will have close to 16 cars for nationals!!!
