What size spacers are you guys running?

#1

For the guys running spacers on their cars -

What size spacers are you guys running??

Thanks for the input in advance…

#2

usually none, occasionally H&R 8 mm

Depends on the offset of your wheels. A standard wheel is 24-25mm offset, so with a 225 section tire you need a 10mm spacer for the tire to clear the front strut tube. That help? CB

OK I’ll bite:

Why reference a 225 section tire? Rules dictate 205 section width.

Typo or am I missing something here?

I run 225/45-15 tires on TD wheels (25mm offset) and haven’t had any clearance issues.

#6

Because 225 is what I run. With 205 (10mm narrower on inside) I would still run the 10mm, rules allowing. CB

#7

CB runs an E30 but not SE30. With 205s on TD wheels (25 mm offset I think) I run 5mm or 8mm. Can’t remember. But that was SOOO last year.

#8

Et15 wheels, currently no spacer but plan on checking track width before this season.

Is there really much advantage to gain my maxing the track width??? I am talking on the stop watch vs a theoretical debate.

Has anyone been able to quantify the advantage.

Ahhh !!

The wider track the better. The fast E30 guys are running without spacers and as wide a track as possible.

A Spec E30 wheel coming…no spacers needed !!!

#11

What offset?

#12

I have been told…+10 mm offset

#13

any pictures Phil?

#14

This is the Spec Miata wheel…but it would look identical.

#15

that is one nice piece!! how much will it cost?

#16

Dude if Emilio makes that, that will be a killer deal. I am one of his Miata guys, I owe Emilio a lot of credit for whipping me back into shape and his wheels are frigin awesome, strong as iron and considering the strength are lighter than you’d expect.

949Racing has his current wheels listed at 159… but that’s a bigger wheel.
