If I drive my car to the track for some races, do I need a different patch on those days?
What ever happened...
Are we talking an patch that leans toward some kind of custom-sourced solution? Something that a few “local” suppliers can make?
If so, count me out of specE30. The only reason I’d run this NASA class is to avoid these kind of sweetheart deals made by series founders and their buddy-shops. I don’t care what the cost is – it’s the principle that matters. I may as well run SCCA ITS (back of the pack, for sure) if I need to jump thru hoops to make the patch comply.
Sorry for the beer-fueled rant. Just tell me if I have a reasonable chance of dealing with the patch myself – without having to go to a “spec-authorized” shop…
:woohoo:
I emailed the “OFFICIAL” patch supplier three minutes ago expressing my willingness to buy seventeen patches, and he has not yet had the decency to confirm my order.
It is troubling that somebody is going to retire early as a result of this “Buddy deal” and can’t give good customer service.
Give me one piece of data that supports the need for a new patch. For those of us who already have patches, we shouldn’t be required to remove our current patch and buy this new one.
But the new patch is only supposed to cost $150 - :silly:
and…it will totally equalize the field B)
