What events are you doing this year?

I know my major goal for this year is to get as much track time as I can in the e30. I do not think completing the car build this year is realistic with me also getting married. What plans do you have so far?

I am registered for a BMWCCA DE at Lime Rock in April.

I am planning for at least one of the DEs at Pocono with Nasa in May (hopefully both) and I will can’t wait for Hyperfest in July at Pocono.

I will try to squeeze in a day at Thunderbolt as well, but I am not sure when.

I should be at most, if not all the NE events that have races scheduled. I’ll be heading down to hyperfest also, last year was my first time going and it was a real good time. If the track is ready, EMRA is having a race in June or July at Thunderbolt, so I’ll probably do that as well. I can’t wait to drive that track.

Thanks to corporate mergers and losing my job (recently fixed with another one) I will have no time off available for awhile, which pretty much screws me on anything further than Pocono, BeaveRun or Summit. Also thanks to said merger, my budget for transponder, HANS and other essentials has been curbed for awhile. So, HPDE championship for me for another year.

I’m almost ready. Suspension is done. Going for the cage in a week. Hope to make most of the NE and MA events starting with an HPDE at Lime Rock in April.

Well, big plans. But you know how that goes…

I’ll miss VIR on Mar 28-30 (was going to do SuperComp to get recurrent before racing) because I’ve got a bone fragment floating around in my back, and if you can’t keep your left foot where it needs to be… Let’s just say you guys don’t need me any more handicapped than I already am.

Agressively treating it, car getting tweaked and inspected (gotta do something with the vacation), will keep you advised.

Oh man, sorry to hear about that. I saw that you were registered and was psyched that you were going to make the drive down. Hope the back heals up quickly and properly and you’ll be in the car soon.
