What Driving Suit are you using?

#1

Just trying to get and idea and recommendations on suits any help is appreciated.

i recommend trying on as many as you can (as with any safety gear)…

typically higher end suits are lighter, breath better, and look nicer…some of the higher end 3 layer suits are as light or lighter than the lower end 2 layer ones…

imo, it’s worth spending the extra bucks on a nice suit…

for suits, i like alpinestars, sparco, omp, and stand 21

I agree with Dave.

Just like a helmet… get the best you can afford. Most of the brands fit differently so it’s best to try a few on if possible.

One thing to try is call some dealers and find out if they have any old models in stock that they are trying to get rid of. I got a great Alpinestars 3-layer suit for the same cost as one of their 2 layers by doing this.

+1 for alpinestars.
Much more comfortable fit for the angles and curves of your body. You will feel naked in the gp tech.

I have a G-Force. It’s a good value for the money, especially for a beginner. Having lived with it for a few years, when I replace it I’ll buy something better/lighter as it is really thick and heavy. It was fine for my short sprints on hill climbs, but I think it will be detrimental for road racing.

Also, no matter how much dirt they may show, get a color other than black. Black is too damn hot!
