What datalog rates are you guys using?

#1

As a few of you may know, I’m trying to develop a low cost Arduino based datalogging system for my E30 that I’m slowly preparing.

Anyways, I think I have the sensor part figured out. Now I’m trying to figure out what datalogging rates the Arduino is capable of.

To those of you with off the shelf dash loggers/data logging systems, at what rates are you logging things like oil pressure, oil temperature, etc?

Personally I feel like 10 samples/second would be sufficient (36,000 data points for an hour long race) but I really have no idea so I’m looking for your guys’ input.
