What clutch to use?

n the rules it states that "Any clutch disc and pressure plate of original diameter may be used provided that they bolt directly to an unmodified flywheel."

So, what is everyone using? It also states that the vibration damper may be removed. What is this and where is it and do I want to remove it. I plan on replacing the clutch while the engine is out so what do I need? Is there any performance gain from the high $$ units?

Mike, I think the vibration damper reference has to do with the vibration ring around the guibo (sp?) bushing.Throw it away… The standard old Sachs clutch work fine in both cars that I’ve owned. In other cars we’ve checked the clutch for wear and just bolted 'em in and gone racing.Regards, Robert Patton
