Don’t shave those tires just yet rain creeping back into the forecast…

#5

no way it’ll rain in may. I am so sick of rain and snow. MUST GO 4 WHEELIN’

#6

Mid 70s to mid 80s, clouds with sun and a screwy rain shower Saturday night. Who knows but my guess is it will be a dry track for the weekend…

This time of year weather is not as predictable, model runs differ, one forecasts a dry off shore flow and the other puts a couple of more drops Saturday and even a few more Sunday. One thing they do agree on there are two large upper low up in the Gulf of Alaska forecasted to push into the Pacific North West late Wednesday/Thursday and then again Saturday/Sunday so we will have to wait and see what we get from the southern swing of the systems. I have even seen a forecast of showers May 15-19 so the door might be open a little more then we think.

This might be a Kevin Nichols style forecast, I did have to remind him to take off his hat and step away from his umbrella girl or there would be no conclusion! And I quote,

“If I am outside and the top of my head is wet…then it is raining. If the top of my head is burning then…it is sunny.”

EDIT: FYI Redding is calling for rain Sunday.

Update: There is more agreement for showers Saturday day/night and into Sunday. Something new in the forecast is wind for Saturday afternoon and evening SSW@25 gusting to 38mph. Maybe we will see the wind machines finely turn!

The pattern is holding up and models are starting to agree. We will see cooler temps and a chance of showers late Saturday and an increased chance Sunday. Friday looks nice w/temps in the mid 70deg.

Saturday looks unsettled with a chance but I think we are going to get a little som’em som’em late Saturday into Sunday. Maybe by our late race Sunday there will be less of a threat. Windy…
