Great weekend but very hot next time I will have a cool suit because a black suit and black helmet don’t go well with 100+ degree weekend. I think between my dad and I we went through 48 waters and two cases of gatorade.

On Saturday I qualified 6th and started on the outside beside J. Allen and Carter Hunt behind and I was just focusing on getting through without losing to many positions. We all came out of turn one clean and to my surprise I was right behind Al going into turn three. Al went in three and came out sideways, I looked left but Carter was there and I couldn’t go right so I had to check up and next thing I knew I lost 3 positions before 5a. I had a good battle with Evan and Brian Jones for most of the race. Brian and I went two wide into roller coaster and came in hot on a very slow spec3 which made things interesting, we both made it out without incident and continued racing.

On Sunday I ran faster but so did everyone else, I qualified 7th .006 of a second behind Evan. I had a good start and by turn three I was right behind J. Allen in 6th place. I was racing with Johnny for a while as I saw Evan and J. Tower battling behind me. I tried working with Johnny to catch up with 4th place but before we could get up there I saw Tower go off in hogpen and Evan charging ahead. Johnny is great in traffic and I was just trying to take notes and not get to far behind. We came up the Esses on a spec3 and Johnny went on the inside in 10 and I tried to follow but had the door shut on me which opened the door for Evan and he got me inside of Oak tree. I tried keeping up with Johnny and Evan but I kept getting screwed with traffic and they started pulling away. Once I finally got by the spec3 that would pull me on the straights but slow me down in the turns I started catching up with the group but ran out of time. I qualified 7th and finished 7th. I was happy with the results even though I was hoping for a little better, but I learned a lot behind Johnny and had a good race with the south east guys who race hard but clean.

Congrats again to R. Grace and his run away wins this weekend.

Not sure when Ill be back on track, definitely missing RA in August. VIR was too much heat, cant do that again for a while. AMP in October doesnt look good and the baby is due the weekend of CMP in November. December is my best shot but we will see how it goes.

Great to see everyone again, good luck in Aug.
Jones - I don’t want to rain on your parade, but here’s a real life example. In 2009 I did 23 track weekends. In 2010 had the baby in march and have done 3 weekends (would’ve been 4 if it didn’t snow for CMP). It’s not for the lack of trying, just simply babies get very much in the way of racing…

I was waiting for you to come all the way around, I have no idea how you collected it and kept on going. That was a major save!

Haha, I apprecite the insight! I am not fooling myself at all. Im am fully aware that next year will be severely truncated for me. I hope to make two or three events if I’m lucky. Ill miss the racing and all of you guys but its worth it. I hope to at least come hang out at CMP once or twice though.

definitely a weekend to remember!
Watching you bump draft on the straight brings a smile to my face.

Is your motor that much stronger or are their motors that much weaker?

Out here on the left coast, guys are just beginning to get comfortable with the bumping.

bit of both, my motor is pretty good (fresh build last year) and despite the high ambient temps my coolant was 190-195 all day so it was running great. the people i bumped have older motors that may be a bit down on power, plus being in the draft adds an extra mph or two.

for everyone’s sake, let’s hope it means a vasectomy

Since you mentioned Vasectomy…

"A man goes into the hospital for a vasectomy. Before the procedure the nurse

comes in and takes his vitals, then tells him to take all of his clothes

off. When he is fully undressed she instructs him to lie down on the table.

The man obeys. The nurse then takes all of her clothes off and climbs on top

and has her way with him. Upon the completion of the act the man catches his

breath and asks what that was all about. The nurse informs the patient that

studies have shown that before a vasectomy if the man has an ejaculation, he

will be more relaxed and that the vasec is easier for the surgeon to locate

and sever.

The nurse then wheels the patient to the operating room. While they are

going down the hall the patient sees six men in a room jerking-off.

Curious, the man asks “What are they doing in there”?

The nurse responds, "They are getting vasectomies too, but you have Blue

Cross and they have Obama Care."
