Vibration Damper Removal

#1

Has anyone removed the Vibration damper? Did you do it because of a shifter change for clearance? Another reason. Any problems caused by removing it? I bought a Z3 1.9 shifter and could be a clearance problem. Waiting for the part to come in.

Be sure to have a set of the SE30 regulations handy. Its right in there.

BTW, I removed mine because it was rubbing against my UUC race shifter.

It can be a b1tch to remove, but I removed mine for shifter clearance.

Well thats good news. Sounds like it can go.

I removed my vib. damper, and installed the Z3 1.9 short-shifter. Everything fits with no issues.

Mine removed itself (lol) at Pocono North and I had to drive home in 4th gear.

It’s removed. I’m slowly getting the car back together. Thanks for the input.
