Vapor relief

#1

Im currently putting a car together. I transferred the entire fuel system from a donor car to the body Im going to be using. I eliminated the vapor canister from the engine compartment and the hard vapor line underneath the car. I don’t want dirt to get into the fitting that the hard vapor line attached to next to the tank, so I’d like to plug it. However, if this is the only pressure relief that the gas tank has then I guess I have to keep it open. Any thoughts on how I can plug this line but still provide means of relieving pressure from the tank?

I put a small crankcase breather filter on the plastic vapor line where it turns down between the tank and body of the car. Near the fuel filter. It stays tucked up and out of the way. I kept the rest of the vapor recovery system (tank and lines) above the rear wheel. This set up has worked perfectly.
