Used R-888s

I just can’t take it anymore.

If anyone wants used R-888s to be picked up at RA in March, let me know. I have one set with about 40% left and another set with about 20% left (from the shaved depth).

Both sets for $100. No shipping.

I won’t be at RA to do the HPDE but I will drive up there if someone wants these tires. Otherwise, they are going to the recyclers.

I will try to post some pictures later.

Well, it won’t be 8 tires. T3 at RRR, all weekend long, I couldn’t push it flat out. So, I was just running at 85%-90%.

Second session out today, about 15 min into it, the car just wouldn’t stick even at 85%. I ended up all the way over just barely hanging on the edge. After doing that twice, I came in early. The rear passenger tire was corded down the the third level. The other one is about to cord. So at most, I have 6 tires.

I guess I am not good at judging the tread left on R-888s.

Instead of guessing at the condition, I will bring 6 tires to RA. Whoever is interested in them can take a look and pay me whatever you think they are worth. I am asking $100 OBO.

So far, I have scottmc, ranger, then 87isman in that order. Thanks.

Could you PM me your cell number? Since Ranger looks like he is out, you will be second in line. I am planning to come up to RA on Friday afternoon.

Boys, I’m going to bring a set up that I am done with. Should be fine for dry racing conditions. This was a shaved set of tires that has some tread left. $50/tire.
