Updated Front Strut Housing

More dumb questions, guys. Sorry. 9.3.8.14 lets you put it in. Whats involved and what does it give you?

The early cars, such as 84-86 318i and 325e, came with smaller diameter strut housings. The rule allows those cars to update to the later larger diameter strut housings.

Thanks! Got a nice rust free 1990 "i" with an LSD for 2k this weekend so I guess I won’t have to worry about it!

That’s a great price. and I thought I got a good deal on a 91 "i" with 59k’s for $3,300.
Is that big of a difference the LSD? Never driven a car without it on track.

My '89 is a base car and had an open diff. During the first weekend, it was so bad about spinning the inside rear tire that I decided not to race. I couldn’t put down any power and it was basically no fun at all.

My good friend Alex had an LSD at home (1.5 hours away) and my other good friends Steve and David helped install it at the track that Saturday afternoon.

Sunday was a lot more fun.

I settled in on an '87 325is w/163K on the clock for $1100 - Dealer trade in PA. I was focused on finding the "is" w/ the LSD already in it. Have the numbers together on the suspension package now I just need the cage package. I am N. of Baltimore, MD. I really like Dave E, but that is a whole day to drop the car off and another whole day to pick it up. Anyone have a bead on a cage builder closer to me experienced in e30 cages?
