I modified the charts to eliminate all the stuff we can’t do anything about.*

*Unless, of course, you want to get into a discussion about the decreased spring rate offered by the softer sidewall of the RA1.:cheer:

Steve, you missed some scratch-outs,re: ride heigth.
While I’ve been working on how to get the car lower, I’m at a loss on how to go low.

I think you can play around with different thickness spring pads front and rear to make the front effectively lower.

That’s the theory. I’ve got a whole stack of spring pads of different thicknesses in my spares box just itching to be used. But I’d rather sit around between sessions watching Ranger re-engineer his car.

The Spec exhaust has me at my low limit for ride height!

Spring pads, we ain’t got no spring pads on the car. I’m talking reaaaaaly lower the car.

Exhaust systems are for scraping off.

Cut couple of loops off the springs. That’ll get you low - like sparks flying at 5 mph low.

Sweet! Now we can have a truly fruitless discussion about the merits of getting the c/g 1/2" lower vs fine-tuning corner weighting and rake with spring pads. Wheeeeeeee! :woohoo:

Almost makes me wish I were only running Lightning on Saturday so I could bench race more. Let’s save the real good bull$hitting for the post-race party, OK?

PS - Try R888’s at 13 psi hot. That’ll lower the car…

PPS - We can’t “modify” the springs, but can you use one of them crate-strapping gizmos and tie a couple coils together?

Step 1. Longer trailer ramps.
Step 2. Stay on the black part of the track.

You can go lower.

Won’t work. Strap breaks on rebound.

R(yes, I’m joking around)P

Then I won’t fit in the RA paddock!

Then I can’t race in the Southeast!

Yes, you’re probably right.

Then you aren’t using beefy enough straps;)
