Trying out some racing seats locally

#1

Any place in NJ/PA/DE where I can do this?

Thanks!!

NJMP has a CDOC store. They only had about 4 seats in there 2 weeks ago and were all hanging on the wall. But if you ask they will take them down and let you sit in them.

They only had Recaro and OMP seats, but they are just getting started, i would call them and see.

Where are you located?

Mid-Atlantic Trading Company in New Egypt, NJ has Sparco seats that they’ll be happy to let you try out: http://www.midatlantictrading.com/

The Team DI guys in Dover, NJ have some available as well: http://www.teamdi.com/index.php

It’s probably best to call before going to either to make sure they will be there and have seats available.

If you are near Perkasie, PA I have Sparco Pro ADV and Corbeau seats in my car that you are welcome to try on.

Hey Bob, thanks for letting me try out your seat at NJMP. I am sure glad I did. The ADV is roomier than the plain Circuit PRO. I am sorry to say that the extra head light I have is off an 87 with the sealed beam. you Can sill use it to make your car legal, but the light wont work it you want to run in the rain or at night.

Dan,

Happy to help with your seat decision.

Thanks for the headlight offer, but I think I’ll keep looking for one that will work. After driving in the rain at NJMP it seems like working headlights are probably a good idea (and also in keeping with the letter and spirit of the rules).

In addition to the places Dan and Bob mentioned, there is Stable Energies http://stableenergies.com/ up in North Jersey. Their site says they have 20 seats on display. Probably a bit far for you though if you’re also asking about Delaware shops.

Got mine at Driving Impressions (Team DI) and they had a decent amount of seats available to sit in. They’re the US distributor for Sabelt so they have almost all their seats.

Cool! Yea, I’m in South Jersey.

Thanks for the replies. I may have to do a little more research before calling or trying things out as I don’t know what to look for quite yet, but this is a definite help.

Seems like something with head protection and hans capable is the way to go, eh? I had a bad accident when I was young on a motorcross bike so I’ve learned to be safety concious.
