Trunk Tar replacement

So the car that I am building has had the trunk tar removed. I know my car is going to come in under weight and wanted to know if its within the rules to add something like dynamat or something similar in its place to help get the weight back or do I just need to add ballast?

Under 2,700lbs? The 2011 rules reduced the min weight by 50lbs.

In addition to the reduction in weight, the ballast rules now allow for ballast in the passenger compartment or the trunk. Get the car in final trim, get the corner weights and then decide on what ballast is needed.
