Trans fluid question

#1

I have a wierd issue, when its really cold, and I start my car 1990 e30, with it in neutral, and I let the clutch out the car moves forward verry slowly it goes away when warmed up. Someone on the pelican parts board said this was normal?(?) Is it? Also what weight trans fluid should I use(about 2 HPDE a year and some auto X). It is a daily driver. How often should I change the fluid? Should I switch to a synthetic? Any help would be great.
Thanks Kelly

Redline MTL (manual trans lube) works well for the street or racing. It is synthethic and works well in the cold or heat. We change it once a year racing.

I agree, MTL is an excellent choice

When in neutral, the clutch should not be engaged if it’s a manual and not auto trans. Cold or hot. That’s not normal.

Redline MTL.

I use Amsoil MTF

Equivalent to (or better than) than MTL and cheaper.
