Hello,to install the trans breather can you just pry the dust cap off with a screwdriver? What diameter tube is used? Should a hose clamp be used or is it snug enough? what length of tube?

I just did my trans breather. There was another thread about it where I got my information and it worked great. Pry off the plastic cap, pack the tube with grease to prevent shavings from entering the trans. Tap the tube with a 1/8" pipe thread tap. Buy a brass elbow, one side 1/8 thread, the other side a nipple to put a 3/8" hose on. thread the elbow into the tube put the hose on with a hose clamp, and your done. With the elbow the hose wont kink, the hose will clear the trans tunnel and the hose has something to hold on to and not slip off. I ran enough hose to go up to a catch tank under the hood, about 3’ I think.
