Toe all screwed up

#1

I figured that after the left side wheels dug in and tried to roll me at Roebling, I better check my toe. Turns out I had toe-out both front and rear. The only wheel that was perfect was LR so there’s no way it all comes from Roebling. Besides, my RR is notorious for gaining toe-out whenever it pleases.

It was kinda nostalgic spending an evening working in the garage. Back in the old days I was in there almost every evening. But in the past couple years the race car doesn’t even get to live in the garage any more, it sits in the driveway under a cover. It seemed like I’d hardly turned a wrench on the car in months. But no degree of fond nostalgia is worth fighting with a MFing rear toe adjusters. Geeze how I hate those bastards.

3 of 4 wheels now have neutral toe. The RR has 1mm of toe in, but I adjusted it 3x and if it wants to stay screwed up that badly, I’ll let it win this day.

Scott, 1/8" toe out in front, 1/8" toe IN in rear.

Not me, I’m neutral baby. Well, almost.

1/8" rear tow makes the car come off the corner better…where you are losing time.

Know the feeling Ranger…

My racecar spends it time sitting with a cover over it under a giant Redwood (not on my property, but covers much of it) on the side of the garage. I miss being able to be out in the garage bangin’ knuckles on it, but house remodel, new baby stuff (both new and outgrown) has taken over the garage. I am just lucky my tools still fit in there…

One of these days I am going to bulldoze the tiny single garage and build me a proper garage capably of holding the racecar, tools, kid stuff and wife’s car, all in harmony. Some day.
