Timing belt life?

So how long is a timing belt safe to run on track? How many street miles are ok? Obviously not trying to push the envelope, just trying to get a ballpark…

IIRC manual says 4 years or ~50 k miles. I change mine at 40k miles just to be safe (good time to check water pump too – it should be replaces every second timing belt change).
