Jon Emerson?
Bill Shawhan (new racer)?

I’m in, but unfortunately Dean won’t be there, so I’ll have to suffer driving the car on Saturday too (waah, sniff, sniff)…

Will we finally see a 20 car field?!? It’d be awesome, though Kevin would have to do more reading.

Team Midnight Oil will be making the trip up to NorCal to see how the car stacks up against competition.

#4

20 That would be great!!! We need a official update from Iron Man!? 15 days, tick tock tick tock, no pressure!

#5

Can you believe my wife plans a Houseboat trip on this weekend. We had like two months almost to plan this. How far away is Lake Oroville. I might be able to slip away to spank your asses.

If I can’t make it, I’ll have my backup slacker driver Andy up there(jk Andy).

Hey Scott;

Nice update in Grassroots!

#6

Poppy…Not feeling pressure, just a little anxiety…I’m hopeful that the car will make its way back from the cage builder by the end of the weekend, from there it is just a matter of putting her back together which I’m confident can be done. However, she may be looking a little ugly as I think the trip to the body spa will have to be fit in between TH & Miller.
Who knows maybe it can be put back together by the end of next week & a spa treatment…The important thing is to shake it down prior to Miller.
As planned, I will run “Little Red” for the race.

#7

Be sure to wire tie the relays down in “Little Red” , Good luck on your new ride!

The #36 car passed its annual safety inspection today with flying colors…B) NASA’s John Lindsey was nice enough to travel out to Valley Motorwerks and do the inspection.

Let’s RACE!!!

Can’t wait. Way too much book readin’ and bench Racin’

I have even resorted to reading the stupid posts arguing for pages about whether to remove your oil cooler or not. Cheez I am going nutty!

Time to quit guessin’ and lyin’ and get to the action. Lets find out who is FAST.

YEE HAW
:woohoo:

Strap in Boys!

GAME ON!

#13

Little Red is ready to Role…
The Bionic car, aka #93…Will be getting a shakedown on Friday
Faster, stronger, better…Let the truth be told at Miller.
What I can share with you is that she will have chartreuse mirrors again.

#14

#15

Just picked up 3 sets of shaved RA1’s from AIM and they have SF written on them, what could that mean???

What it probably means is that he gave you the slower tires shaved at 4/32 rather than 3/32.
Oh Shit, I need to call Ron, it was 4 sets that I ordered. Actually contemplating 5 sets.

#17

1/32 is the only way to go! I have seen what steve does on those. He was running around buying everybodies used tires!

#18

I thought it meant “Super Fast”. Ron told me they were the last sets in the country and anywhere in the whole wide world he also said Toyo will not be shipping any new RA1 tires until Sep 20th. First come first serve!! BTW Scott C got the 4th set that had SF written on then! It was a feeding frenzy at AIM last Friday!

Count me out. The 14 will not be ready to race.

allright here it is friday night and it looks like we lost TONY D and Walter F so 18?

Dinner at Casa Ramos was fun and appropriate beverages were consumed. About 90 degrees at the track and about the same for tomorrow. Alot of braggin’ goin on with the Brain lube flowing. We will see how it pans out tomorrow. Several new players in the field and a SoCal spy has stepped in to test himself. He is headed to Nationals so probably a smart call.

Looks like alot of fun to be had in the morning.

Let the games begin!
