I’m out…

Where to begin…Well I can blame not coming due to it being Vals B-day on Friday but she is fully supportive of me going racing.

The simple truth, why drive 700+ miles, take 4 days out of my life only to show up to race one of my favorite tracks & likely be DQ’d.

At the last race we discussed a Norcal supplement to modify the current HP rule. What we ended up with was a modification to the HP & loosing the weight penalty (which were both positive steps) but in turn we ended up with new torque rule & subjective interpretation by an official if the dyno happens to be reading a bit high or low on that given day.

What wasn’t addressed is still the simple fact that a stock motor with fresh head can exceed the MAX HP rule resulting in a DQ. What hasn’t been addressed is an "approved means by NASA to “detune” a motor that exceeds the HP limit.
some of you know that I dyno tested on Thursday prior to the season opener. TFB found a “JUNK” AFM out of the throw away parts. My Uber motor was trimmed down to 155HP that made me legal, however, the motor on track ran like complete shit & fell over at 5k rpm’s & would not pull.
Frustrating, YES. Disappointing, YES…Willing to race the car/motor again with the same setup…ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Hope all of you have a great time this weekend…Have fun & be safe.
