Weather looks to be just about normal for August temps in the mid 90’s should stay under 100.

O ya no rain!

Who’s testing Friday???

NorCal SpecE30 racers,

My name is Craig and I’ll be attending the race on Sunday (hopefully in time to catch qualifying as well) and I’m very interested in joining the class. I had a beloved E30 in college back East and now have time/funds to do some racing myself. I’ll be poking around the paddock introducing myself and asking questions, looking forward to meeting you.

Hey Craig.

Come on By. We should have another great turn out next weekend. The Spec E30 racers are a great group. We emphasize on having fun, when racing and after the races.

See you there.

Brad

Bennett - we’ll be there Friday AM (at least that’s the plan). Here’s the entry list as of now:

Team BW Racing
Bryan McQueen
Jason Godfrey
Team North Bay Bavarian
Bennett McMicking
Larry Moore
Team A-1 Autoworks
Jason Alexandridis
Dan Riley
Deejay Riley

Only 10 so far, but the registration rush ususally starts the week prior. If you’re planning on showing up this weekend, hurry up and register - the cutoff is Wednesday!

I don’t think I’ll be able to provide further updates as I’ll be out of town on business until late Thurday night.

Craig - come on by and meet the guys. You picked a good day to check it out - looks like the heat’s going to push into Saturday and Sunday’ll be cooler. What say you Poppy?

See you all there,
Jim

Also heard Gary Rieger and the Deck Bros. will be there. That’s still only 18 - we haven’t had a field smaller than 20 cars in something like 2 years… C’mon guys!

I’m not sure if the attendance is down because of the lashings at the last T-hill event, but I do believe it has still had some repercussions from that meeting. There are still many racers bent out of shape from that meeting. I personally am thinking about what to do next season, because I feel we have lost a bit of the fun of this series.
Anyways - I slipped out of Casa Romos early after 2 larger beers, 2 awesome top shelf special margarita’s, and of course a couple shots of PAtrone… (I was let off easy) SInce I was still a little sober, I crunched the numbers for the points.
Here we are with the two drops:

1 Team BTM Motorwerks 80 85 90 90 85 0 100 0 85 85 700
2 Andy Chittum 90 69 100 100 75 90 70 70 0 0 664
3 Steven Ferrario 85 100 0 0 70 80 75 80 80 80 650
4 Bennett McMicking 69 63 85 75 0 58 90 90 65 0 595
5 Team BW Racing 0 0 68 68 67 70 80 100 63 70 586
6 Team Point Six Racing 68 60 80 80 0 75 65 0 67 67 562

What does a DNF as a drop equate to in points?

A very BIG thanks & shout out to Dan Riley & Dave-O for helping change out my throwout bearing Saturday night…As if drinking beer would not have been more fun…For sure a DNF would have been the order of the day on Sunday had we not done this repair.

Thank you both…
