Looks good, but curious why you went to paint before doing the cage?

The cage is bolt in and might end up staying black. We can always paint the cage later.

Yeah, there was a lot of discussion about that topic. There are three sides to any given project: Scope, Schedule and Budget. Here we decided that Schedule and Budget are more important and we would rather just put the Autopower in the car to save time, and get the car to the track. Eventually we will modify upon the existing cage to include a knee bar and possibly other reinforcements. As far as welding and fabricating inside the painted car, it’s doable but you just have to be sure to prepare your work environment which as we all know can be very tedious and time consuming (read, frustrating!!!).

More pictures to come, we will be cleaning up and assembling the front and rear suspension, and starting to piece together the DAQ and AIM MXL with the wiring harness.
