Thanks to NASA SE and the Spec e30 group

We really enjoyed our time at Road atlanta this weekend. Nasa se was terrific and it was great to finally meet many of you face to face. The Enduro was great fine despite losing a clutch in the 87 car. We managed to finish the race after a new clutch was installed. The sprints on Saturday were very exciting, congrats to Johan on an incredible drive. hopefully we will be down again very soon. We felt very welcome and cant say enough about how much fun it was.

Thanks for making the long drive down. Your warm fire was really nice and the spare thermostat quickly got us back in business. It was very much appreciated. I’m glad we were able to run out and get you guys a replacement during the lunch break.

Hopefully we’ll have a little better weather next time you make it down here.

Andrew, thanks for making the trip down to Road Atlanta. Laura and I get to play lead instructors and it doesn’t allow much time to enjoy the camaraderie in the paddock.I think I said “hello” to Jon Allen as I was on the run somewhere, but would have enjoyed catching up with him and talking about the world of E30. Youse guys had quite a gathering and I can’t remember all of the racers/crew that was there. My apologies.

Other impressions from the weekend?

Thanks in advance, Robert Patton

here are some thoughts:

-no practice or qualifying for the enduro was a bit odd but I guess because its a series it makes some sense

-loved the fact we could change drivers while fueling in the enduro

-wish I had made the spec e30 meeting

-it was a long trip down, way back wasnt as bad

-Pantas brining the heaters down was a nice touch

-registration and tech couldnt have been any easier

-very cool we had our own green flag in the race

-Everyone couldnt have been nicer, wish I could have met everyone

The Pantas’s will spoil you…I go race some vintage and stand in the tech line wondering “I pay to do this??”
