Thanks for everyone's support & and good wishes

In the 18 months I’ve been racing with you guys I’ve realized, like everyone eventually does, that the friendships and comrade are the best part. After my little tumble on Saturday, all of your heartfelt concerns and good wishes mean a lot.

I’m basically ok. With just some soreness in my back and some tingling numbness in my left arm, I consider myself a really luck guy. No structural damage to my spine or any joints. Anny thinks I’m just a little goofier than normal, but I’m guessing that will pass. And, I might be a little pissy for a few more days.

All of the safety crews and paramedics were outstanding, in both their skills and their compassion and caring. A new experience for me but now I’ll alway appreciate their dedication and humanity more. Be sure to give them a wave or a thanks at every event.

And another thanks to those who hung around late to help me load my truck and car, etc. I never had to ask for any help. You’re all great and that is why I’ll be back out their asap !!

The other good news is that all of the safety equipment worked just as it should. I’m sure it saved my life and will again be my primary focus as I build my new car. Look at your own cars one more time and see if there is anything you can improve with your safety stuff.

See you all out there soon. Ron H

Glad you’re ok Ron.

If you need help with the new car build let me know. I know where you can get some red, black, and yellow paint for your bumper

Hey Ron,

It sure was good to see that you were OK and all of the safety equipment and safety crews did their jobs well. I am sure that you are probably a little goofier after the roll and I doubt it will passB)

If you need anything just call. 415-444-5554

Bill Arnold always has a line on donor cars and has two spec e30’s in the process, one caged and one ready for cage.

Again, glad to see you are well!

Ron - Both Kenny and I are really glad you’re okay. Let us know if we can be of any help.

Great Job again by NASA safety!

I was only a few cars behing you in warmup and saw it all. I was very happy to hear you were ok. I currenly have another E30 build in progress, and it will be for sale upon completion. Or, the #25 car that was there this weekend (the new black and white one) is also for sale. Both cars are using 1.75 x .125 tubing for the cages. If our cars have to weight a ton, they may as well be extra safe.

Ron,

That was a big scare all of us had seeing your crumpled car up on the slope. Everyone was so relieved to see you standing after the safety crews helped you out of the car. I’m also super glad to hear your feeling better and want to get back “in the saddle” so-to-speak!

Let us know if you need help in any way. Walter and I talked and he said we could do a “barn raising car build” at his shop on any weekend. I’m sure there would be no shortage of volunteers! :cheer:

Best Regards,
Scott

Ron,

Finding out that you were OK was definitely the highlight of the weekend:cheer: I’m so grateful that all of your safety equipment worked the way it was supposed to! I’ll take the extra goofiness with a smile!

I’m really looking forward to being out on the track with you…you may eventually regret everything you taught me;) It won’t be long now so hurry up and get all of your car stuff sorted out…we’ll all do everything we can to help!

OMG…Ron’s gonna be goofy?

In all seriousness, I am very glad you are okay and even more glad that you are rebuilding…I heard about this from Ryan on Saturday after it happened…Terrible wake up call. I miss all of you guys…

Just a note for those of you with kids…

If they know that you’re at the track for the weekend, don’t leave them a voice mail on Sunday morning asking that they call you at the house. Their thought will probably be something like, “Why the house? You SHOULDN’T be AT the house.”

Glad you’re all good Dad. We’ll get this southeastern car built soon enough, so you can come race on this end of the country.

Glad that you are ok and hope to see you at the next event!
