Tee Shirt Feeler

#1

As many of you have probably seen at most events where Beer Tech is present, we have our own Tee-Shirts! I know, pretty big time, Im sure you thought to yourself “Hey, whose the professional race team over there!?” Yeah, we get that a lot. Especially with our cosmetically perfect cars and no expense spared car maintenence/repair.

Anyway, thanks to our graphic genius ScottMc, we always have what I think to be great looking shirts for each event with the track, date of the races etc. on them.

I wanted to put a feeler out there to see if anyone else would be interested in buying shirts for the particular event. These shirts will be Beer Tech themed as we are making them but we will put the designs up here on the boards and you can decide whether or not you want one. (Maybe Scott can post a sample?)

Depending on the designs the shirts will cost anywhere from $15-$20 each.

This thread is just to gauge interest so please let me know your thoughts or ideas. Lets hear 'em

As long as you guys can assure people that none of the money goes to JP, I think there will be interest.

Various sponsors - how about subsidizing this a bit. I miss my old DE t-shirts that came with the event. Most of them are too ratty for general use now.

I thought about that too and its a good idea that we are hopefully putting into place. I thought the same thing about the DE shirts so we may be able to make long sleeve shirts as well. Ill have to check the price on those.

Jim said he wanted a mesh tank top, screen printed.

I am definitely in on a t-shirt. I love t-shirts. They are the staple of my wardrobe. Maybe the smack talk quote of the month goes on it? May not work, just thinking out loud.

Wearing a BTR shirt may get you banned from a DE.

They retired my HPDE #155 after my back to back HPDE Championship years in 04’-05’, but that was Tarheel BMWCCA. I’m hoping to challenge again next year with NASA. I hear the instructor group is tough though. If there’s too much talent there I may try and land a bodyshop sponsorship and run TT.

Mesh half shirt not tank top, get it right.

Although if you don’t make the tank tops you’ll miss out on the AI / CMC market.

Cymbal crash, ZING!

#7

Jim, seriously though, do you want beads or naked fringe on the sleeves?

JP-invented the piano key neck-tie.

#8

I’m afraid beads may be too formal. I think the fringe says I like Whitesnake (still) and I like to party.

#9

Fringe is the way to go, but the shirt should come with a free fake-mullet-baseball-cap :woohoo:

What exactly do you do with a Tee Shirt Feeler?

This is really a parent’s job, but since SE30 is one big family if you see Uncle Al at the next race he’ll explain how it all works.

it’s not a what… it’s a who.

Brian secretly what the job of Tee Shirt Feeler at Road Atlanta for himself.

It’s a long story… but… it’s basically a cougar hunting technique that he wants to try out while 300 miles from home.

As for shirts*… I’d be happy to make these more event specific, with Spec E30, date and track stuff all on there.

*The profits (though projected to be very minimal) from the pending tee shirts will help fund BeerTech Racing’s Beer and Burger Fund (BBF), and all the other food and drink. If there’s anything left over from that, JP will be stickily forbidden to use any of said proceeds on his car or on any of his hair care products.

Actually this job used to be JP’s except people kept complaining about chocolately fingerprints on their shirts and offers from him to tell them “dirty stories for $5”

So there was re-structure in management.
