sway bar pick up point clarification

Regulation 9.3.8.10. states "Additional welding of sway bar pick-up points and trailing arm pick-up points for reinforcement is permitted." Is that referring to the sway bar pick-up points on the chassis, the point where the links attach to the trailing arms, or both?

My read of this is both.FYI, I know of 2 cars where the rear sway bar link ripped out of the trailing arm so reinforce that triangular tab on the TA. it is easier to prevent the problem than repair it.

both - Note that you are quoting last year’s rules! - the current one is
9.3.8.11. Additional reinforcement of sway bar pick-up points and trailing arm pick-up points is permitted.

you can use welding, bolting or other to do the reinforcement. This was changed to allow things like the IE sway bar mount reinforcements that bolt through the chassis into the trunk.
