Sway bar link installation

I’m very confused.
Which is the proper way to installed the rear sway bar links?
This is how I did it:


This is how my mechanic did it:


And they are rubbing against the springs:


HELP!!! Post pics please if you can.

There’s another thread below w/ good pics and info. Basically you need to have the bolt heads on the spring side w/ the nut on the inside of the clamp.

Also, i think you need to weld that metal tab on there…As it is now, the nut won’t pull through, but youre still relying on the original sheet metal to hold the tab to the control arm.

I put the provided metal tab on top, welded it solid, cleaned the hold w/ a drill, painted it, and was golden. Also w/ the tab on top, the factory tab that keeps the bracket from rotating is effectively gone so you can rotate the bracket to a more proper angle.

OK, the first pics show the clamp "perpendicular" to the sway bar. The second pics are "parallel" to the sway bar, besides the head being on the wrong side, and the tab is already welded in as shown on second pics, is there anything else?
I’ll check the other thread as well.
