Sway bar link failure

#1

Never thought this might be a failure point but ours broke on Friday on the front sway bar. Made the car feel like it had an open diff with massive wheel spin out of every corner. Luckily one of the SpecE30 in training guys was not running the rest of the weekend and loaned us the part of his car so we could race.

This is the top part of the link out of the Ireland kit.

Part is only ~$11 on amazon so no good reason no to have a spare. Aurora VCW-6

Car has 6 full race seasons on it. Either it just failed or the bottom bracket may have twisted a bit putting joint in bind. Impossible to know after the fact, I guess the only preventative thing people can do it check for binding and order a spare. I did look at higher strength replacements but those all less angular articulation and more likely to bind so I just replaced it with another of the same.
