sunroof clips

Can any body show me what they came up with on their sunroof clips.
For the life of me i can’t solve the problem.
Does anybody sell them?
I have race tech next week and could really use the help.

Thanks

BJ Fisher’s solution (the cage builder):

It’s using the original sunroof and then it’s "sealed" using silicon caulk. So far so good (being watertight). We’ll see if it stays that way…

here was my solution in another post as well.
Sorry for the congestion guys…

Did you use Aluminum or Steel?

I am doing this this weekend.

Thanks,
Greg

i used .060 ALUMINUM.
It is required for the door panels if removed and the tech inpsector said it was legal.
One sheet was enough for all 4 door panels, Ski passthrough and the sunroof with about 3sqft left over.
I used RTV clear silicone from NAPA under the AL.
I also had to bend it slightly over the IS spoiler so it would lay flat on the roof.

Post some pics when finished…
Good luck.

I guess I will use steel then, can’t be much difference in weight or price.

Thanks for the help

In the shop, we weld a new panel into the hole and then finish it off so you can not tell there was a sunroof. Without the drag top speed should increase .0025 mph at the end of Roebling’s straight, well it looks good anyway.

I was looking to do the same thing actually.
I am almost due for a paint job so it will justify the effort.
