Can someone tell me what the typical subframe reinforcement configuation is? What size gussets/plates, etc? Is this typcally done during suspension mods or cage building? Pictures would be a big help.
Thanks,
Stuart

Stuart,
Turner Motorsport has the front sub-frame engine mount reinforcement kit and trailing arm lower sway bar link reinforcement kit. They sell them individually or as a kit along with a rear sway bar bracket. Both require welding but the parts fit well and the instructions are very clear. They post the instructions (with pictures) online so you can get a good idea of what they look like. Those are the only two I did.

:silly: Am I glad I read this tidbit. I’ve already got a rear shock mount needing to be replaced and the reinforced mounts are where I’m headed (probably Rouge Engineering’s set for the beefy bottom plate). I wasn;t aware of these subframe weakpoints and I’ve got swaybar and motormounts already on the menu. These will be added to the list… and not really that big an expense either. A bargain, really, considering the potential.
