Ok, so this is the second car I have done this in with the same results. Both cars when purchased (both are E30’s) had aftermarket chips installed. Now in my Spec E30 car, I need to remove the Conforti chip and put back in the stock chip. Once I switched the chip back over to stock, the car wont start. Starter of course runs but it wont fire. What am I missing?
The stock chip I have is the one that came in the car. Is there a special procedure I am not aware of?

As far as I know it is just a matter of swapping chips. Just make sure that the stock chip is inserted in the correct orientation.

I did exactly what you describe with my car and everything worked great with no special procedure. Of course, mine has the advantage of being Bronzit.

P.S. Without that chip you better run scared at VIR!
Interesting…Ill try flipping the chip around to see if that works. I forgot to mention that Im not the smartest guy around so that may have something to do with this.

Yes, this chip was from this ECU and came with the car when I bought it. When the original owner removed the chip the car was running fine.
